Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?

Act 19;1  And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, That Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus.  And finding some disciples 2.  He said to them, Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?  So they said to him,  We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.

These disciples were saved in John’s baptism.  4.  Then Paul said,  John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.  5. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.  6. When Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.

Act 2;39  The promise is to you and your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.

Matthew 3;11

The Holy Spirit falls on the Gentiles

Please read Acts chapter 10.

I will begin with Acts 10:44

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. 45. And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.  46. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is to you and your children, and to all that is afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.

The promise of the Holy Spirit is a gift for every believer in every generation.

If you are saved. And you believe. You can receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

because He has promised it to all who believe.

Last Days

We are living in the last days .

We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit to have power to fight the enemy.

John16:7 Here Jesus was talking to His disciples about His death, He said, It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I go not away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.  Acts 1:4 And being assembled together with them He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, “which”, He said, you have heard from me. 5. for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.

This is the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father.

We need this power in the last days.

Acts 1;8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

In verse 4 Jesus commanded them to wait for the promise. so they all went to the upper room 14,15. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

Acts 2;1 They were all with one accord in one place. 2. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.4. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

We need to have the Holy Spirit to live for Jesus and as we are the last days  we need Him more than ever.

He is our Helper, ,

He will lead you and guide you through all of your troubles.
